PARENT'S WEEKEND 2023 AUCTION
A Silent and Live Auction in support of Mock Con's mission.
Over W&L’s 2023 Parents and Family Weekend, Mock Convention hosted a silent and live auction. The silent auction, which ran for the week prior to the event, contained items such as catering opportunities and tours of local breweries. The auction event, on October 5th, was kicked off with a captivating speech by Karl Rove and was followed by a lively auction.

DELEGATES' DAY
Expanding the Mock Con team from 50 to 1,500 in one day
Delegates’ Day has historically been one of the most exciting, engaging and memorable days on W&L campus... this year was no different. On September 6th over 1,500 Washington and Lee students joined Mock Convention, making it the largest student-run organization on campus. As state and territory chairs manned their tables, students rushed to sign up for every delegation spot, filling all 50 states, 5 territories, and D.C

SPRING KICKOFF EVENT
With Vice President Mike Pence and FOX News Chief Political Anchor and Host, Bret Baier
For the Spring Kickoff Event for the 28th Mock Convention, Washington and Lee University hosted Vice President Mike Pence and FOX News Chief Political Anchor and Host, Bret Baier in University Chapel. After General Chair Ramsay Trask’s ‘24 opening remarks, Vice President Pence took to the podium to discuss entitlement reform and national debt, as well as his previous time in office. Following his speech, Vice President Pence sat down with Bret Baier to engage in a conversation about the current state of the nation.

With Former First Lady Laura Bush and First Daughter Barbara Bush
Kicking off the 28th Mock Convention, Washington and Lee University welcomed Former First Lady Laura Bush and First Daughter Barbara Bush to a distinguished Parents and Family Weekend event. Organized by the Mock Con team, General Chair Ramsay Trask ’24 and Director of Operations Carly Snyder ’24 engaged in a conversation with the Former First Lady and Daughter in University Chapel on the afternoon of Friday, September 30th. The mother-daughter duo gave insight into their life in and outside of the White House.
