The Convention

Fri, February 10, 2012

The grand event itself will now take place on the weekend of February 10-12. Traditionally, the Convention has taken place just after the first primary or caucus but before the second. During part of the week of the Convention, classes will be suspended in order for students and professors to enjoy a day of excitement, energy, and prestigious speakers. In the morning, a celebratory parade will process down Main Street. In the afternoon, students, professors, alumni, and speakers will gather for the Convention and rally support for various Republican candidates.

Following a day of riveting speeches, rallies, and debate; following months of research into Republican Presidential nominee hopefuls; following years of organizing and working out the logistics for this historic event to take place, on an evening in February, students will cast their final votes in order to formally predict the 2012 Republican Party presidential nominee.
